On the occasion of my first solo show Climbing Parisii, I made a series of 9 skate-jars with animal heads. This series, entitled “Rhyton”, represents these “horn-shaped drinking vessels, measuring about 25 cm in height, with a bottom opening through which the wine flows and whose end ends in an animal or human head” that really existed in Roman times. They were each created from a single piece of broken skateboard per work. Three are made of classic wood, three are made of dark wood, and three were covered with terracotta before being painted.
The exhibition of Rom av.JC (my artist name) can be seen in Paris at Climbing District until March 5, 2022.
