Filipino illustrator DJ Javier created the “Blood of Mactan” board for California-based brand Imperfects. This design is “a reference to Magellan killed by the Filipino hero Lapulapu in 1521 after Magellan tried to invade the Philippines,” says the brand. A way for the artist to pay tribute to his cultural heritage.
The board is on sale on the Imperfects website and part of the proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Creative Project.
