The artist Laurina Paperina has created a series of decks entitled ‘Island of Chaos’ in collaboration with art publisher Bonobolabo. In her work, the Italian pays tribute to her icons from contemporary art, pop culture and celebrity. And what’s more beautiful homage than to represent them doing improbable things? The head of a Kaws character is carried by a bird, Bansky’s rat is painting while a dog Keith Haring fires. A very rich work in wink and details.
These boards also have the distinction of being in augmented reality. Bonobolabo is the first skateboard publisher to introduce this augmented skate concept. Produced in very limited edition of 20 copies, the triptych is on sale on the Bonobolabo website.
