The Parisian artist Yann Paolozzi had a really different approach from the other artists who presented their boards at the auction for the release of the book Skate Art. Rather than playing only one side of the board, he chose to recreate a skateboard with pieces of wood. It seems that they are pieces of old crates, which is funny because it is precisely the way we call a board too worn.
