This broken cruiser had several lives before becoming a gladiator amphora. Created in MMXXV by artist Rom av.JC, this unique piece is made from an old cruiser, covered in clay and then painted in the style of ancient vases. It still bears the impacts, chips, and ride marks of its skateboard past.
With Gladiaskathos Amphora, the exploration of the encounter between skate culture and Greco-Roman iconography continues: gladiator scenes replace ancient heroes, and the skateboard becomes a fragment of contemporary archaeology.
This piece will join Warsaw Cruiser in Warsaw and continue its story in a new city and a new skate scene.
