The tattoo artist Pierre Berruyer aka Hozho wanted to pay homage to the emblematic logos of the 80s, mixing them with his passion for Japanese prints and irezumi. So, on one side, he mixed Vernon Courland Johnson’s ripper with a Kuniyoshi print. On the other hand, he drew Jim Phillips’s screaming hand as a dragon in the midst of lightning. And to make the diptych even more coherent, he composed his illustration as a Japanese body suit and engraved in the wood necklace that usually wears yakuzas.
