At the height of the Roman Empire, gladiaskators traveled throughout the West and East in search of the best spots. While they competed in arenas, the practice of Via (now called street) represented the most noble path for these ancient athletes.
To immortalize their feats, gladiaskators had their tricks engraved on skateboarding scrolls. These images allowed them to pass on their exploits and preserve their memory. This series is part of this archaeological fiction. It brings together three illustrations representing three best tricks performed by the Decathlus team. The story takes place during a fictional trip to Egypt, at abandoned ancient spots.
This is the very first series of skateboards from my alter ego Rom av.JC for Decathlon. The pro models are available in 8.0, 8.25, and 8.5. You can find them on the Decathlon website and in most of the brand’s stores.
