Doble Skateboards: the French skate brand that keeps it real
Founded in 2003 by old school skaters from the Roanne area in France, Doble Skateboards is one of the rare homegrown French skateboard brands to have survived the decades without losing its identity. Behind their motto — “SKATEBORDEL” — lies a straightforward philosophy: take the skating seriously, not themselves.
What sets Doble apart from other independent brands is the quality of their artistic collaborations. The Roanne-based label has consistently partnered with tattoo artists, illustrators, and graphic designers to produce board series with a bold, distinctive visual identity. Their archives feature work by Quentin Caillat (Comic Actors, Aquarelle series), tattoo artist Hello Hello Théo from the Paris studio Foutu Pour Foutu, Plot (Vauban Tattoo) with his Geisha series and skeletal deity graphics, and Laurent Claveau aka =[Lo]=, also known for his time at Antiz Skateboards.
Manufactured in Canada at the Control MFG factory — a benchmark for Canadian maple quality — Doble decks are built for street skating: pronounced tail, aggressive nose, deep concave.
The Daily Board archives all Doble Skateboards board series here, from graphic design to creative context, for board art enthusiasts and French skate culture fans alike.
