For this latest edition of Spraying Board, Michelin’s Clermont-Ferrand-based CSE is hosting a captivating exhibition that skilfully blends the worlds of sport and graphic arts.
The new Spraying Board edition
Art has always been part of the Olympic landscape, combining the culture of the mind with that of the body. For decades, dance, poetry, music and sculpture have won medals alongside the greatest sporting disciplines.
The Games are constantly renewing themselves, welcoming new events and showcasing modern practices. For this 2024 edition, which takes place in the heart of the French capital and across the country, urban culture invites itself onto the steps of the Olympic podium. Breaking, climbing, skateboarding and surfing will all be showcased. These practices, which are as physical as they are visual, are imbued with their own culture, which they will be showcasing to the world.
With the Olympic Games now open to all, we’re once again combining art and sport. This edition of Spraying Board x Michelin showcases the talents of 6 painters, graffiti artists, street-artists, illustrators and textile artists, concentrated on 4 skateboard boards. Art and street sports take center stage at Michelin’s Médiathèque-Ludothèque, highlighting the Olympic spirit, which is taking hold of us from this summer until October 26.
Produced by The Daily Board, in close collaboration with the CSE Michelin, the exhibition presents the work of 6 French artists. You’ll be able to discover 24 unique boards created especially for the occasion, hung as always thanks to Tigerclaw Supplies. The following artists have taken up the challenge to reveal their universe: Yandy Graffer, Rom av.JC, Maxime Hurdequint, Fabrica Minervae, Floé and Quentin Caillat.
The Spraying Board CSE Michelin exhibition is open until October 26. Address: 8 Rue Jacques Magnier, 63100 Clermont-Ferrand.
What is Spraying Board ?
At the dawn of winter 2019, an original artistic collaboration is born. The Daily Board, keen to pay homage to skate culture and urban art, is teaming up with a local collective to design an innovative exhibition. The event, called Spraying Board, showcases the talent of artists who transform these rolling supports into veritable works of art.
