After Asian Landskate & To-kyo-to, French artist Maxime Hurdequint has created two new boards on the theme of the Maya for his duo show with Quentin Caillat, at Akapico. On the left, the work pays tribute to the Mayan Queen of Yaxchilan (in french “Reine Maya de Yaxchilan”, the name of the artwork) who was represented at the time on a stele in front of a temple of the Mesoamerican civilization. On the right, the skate-steel represents a god, hence its name “Dieu descendant du Codex Maya” or “God descended from the Mayan Codex” in english.
The unique boards are for sale, directly by contacting the artist on his Insta @maxime.hurdequint.
