On June 3, 2022, WAWI Gallery presents “Mystic Syncretism”, the group show by Yandy Graffer, Rom av.JC & Maxime Hurdequint. At a time when cultures and traditions are all influencing each other in real time, the three artists develop their imagination of ancient civilizations.
They launch the following reflection: “Between the heritages of Japan, Latin America and the Roman Empire, would we not finally be the time of multi-culturality, of the discovery of the other, of what allows each one to express himself in a singular way by drawing where he wants the cultural features which interest him?”. The common base of most of the works presented is made of skateboards, assembled and cut to form monsters, trees or antique jars.
See you on Friday, June 3rd from 7pm for the opening at the Galerie WAWI, 49 rue Albert Thomas in Paris (a few steps from the République spot). The exhibition will be visible until June 26th. Here is a small selection of photos to give you a little preview.
