Vexillum tabulae series by Rom av.JC

At Sevrey (France), an archaeological site has revealed some very special banners. These vexillums were used as the unique and distinctive ensigns of Roman army units. They were hung on a spear and held by a veteran sub-officer, then called a standard-bearer. The originality of these is that they are the first known representations of three emblematic skateboard graphics: the screaming hand, the panther of Natas Kaupas and the famous ripper.

The illustrations by the Roman artist Rom av.JC have been damaged by time, but the textiles of these banners are in perfect condition. The unique skateboards, presented at the “Nativitas Skatos” exhibition at the Disturb House Museum, are on sale on the Rom av.JC website.
