Element Skateboards

Element Skateboards is a skateboard clothing and accessories brand founded in 1992 by Johnny Schillereff. Since then, the brand has become a reference in the world of skateboarding, streetwear and urban culture in general. It is known for its commitment to the environment, its collaboration with artists and musicians, and its skateboard team.

From the beginning committed to the environment

One of the most remarkable aspects of the Element brand is its commitment to the environment. From the beginning, the brand has sought to minimize its environmental impact by using sustainable, eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton and hemp. In 2002, Element launched its “Green” collection, which uses recycled and environmentally friendly materials. In 2008, the brand launched its “Power to the Planet” series, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and environmental preservation.

Element has also created several initiatives to promote sustainability and environmental protection. In 2016, the brand launched the Element Seed program, which supports local environmental projects around the world. The Seed program’s beneficiaries have included initiatives such as building community gardens, planting trees and restoring biodiversity. To encourage its team members to get involved in environmental preservation projects in their communities, the brand launched the “Advocacy” program.

Artistic collaborations

In addition to its commitment to the environment, the brand is also known for its collaborations with artists and musicians. The brand has worked with artists such as Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and Thomas Campbell to create unique designs for its clothing and accessories.

The brand has always been committed to developing innovative and original artistic collaborations, which have allowed the brand to stand out in the skateboard and fashion world. These collaborations have been put in place to promote creativity, innovation and self-expression, and to allow talented artists to gain exposure to a wider audience.

One of Element’s most iconic collaborations was with artist Keith Haring. In 2008, Element launched a collection of skateboards and apparel inspired by the drawings of Keith Haring, known for his graphic and colorful illustrations on the walls of New York. The collection was very well received and allowed the brand to reach a wider audience.

Music collaborations

In addition, Element has also collaborated with other renowned artists, such as photographer Brian Gaberman, musician Chuck Treece and director Spike Jonze. Working with these artists, Element has created unique collections that have garnered worldwide attention.

She launched a collection in collaboration with New York fashion brand, Woolrich. The collection, called “The Woolrich Collection by Element”, was made of high quality wool and eco-friendly materials, with designs inspired by nature and outdoor adventure.

Finally, Element has also worked with music groups such as the Beastie Boys and Wu-Tang Clan to create clothing collections inspired by hip-hop culture. These collaborations have allowed Element to expand its fan base and attract a more diverse audience.

In conclusion, artistic collaborations have always been central to Element’s brand identity. The brand has worked with world-renowned artists to create unique and original designs that have garnered worldwide attention. By working with talented artists, Element has created a strong and distinct brand identity that has made the brand stand out in the skateboard and fashion world.
