The founder of The Daily Board, Romain Hurdequint aka Rom avJC has just produced a new ancient work entitled “Skunus Gladiatorium”. Composed of 3 skateboards cut and assembled together in MMXXI BC, it takes its title from the expression Munus gladiatorium which means in Latin “gladiator show”. The texts tell us that we are facing here a gladiatorial race in skate.
Nowadays, these skateboard races are still practiced in festive events organized by institutions like Dime or Thrasher. This jar is currently exposed to the public in Roubaix, at La Condition Publique from 15.09 to 18.12 as part of the European Custom Board, organized by Chalk Custom Board.
