American artist Caleb Gutierrez collaborated with Girl Skateboards to create this series called “The Blooming Series”.
In an interview for the release of the series, he explains : “While Cory (Kennedy) has been incarcerated, we have keep in touch through letters and some videos calls, especially this year while the world is in a strange moment. This summer I was telling him about all this art work that I’ve been making since March in this quarantine… We were talking about the flowers being on a skateboard, he asked “would you be down if I sent them to Girl?”. I go in contact with Sam and Gordy back in August and I explained my process and we talked about making them into boards.”
